A pair of walking Luang Prabang style buddhas. I really like these as they are roughly 80 to 90 years old. NOTE: one buddha is about 1 cm smaller than the other which is visible in the photos.

Very heavy for its size Lao Buddha in very good condition for its age sitting on a high altar his eyes are made from black pearls and mother of pearl traces of gold gilding sitting in Bhumisparsha Mudra …. touching the earth!

2 x 19th century Buddhas. Buddhas of this size are generally made using a number of different materials wood, bronze, quarts crystal, lead, clay and silver and generally were given as gifts to the local temples and they were placed in small compartments located on the inner walls of the temples. The local people bought the Buddhas made from different materials depending on how rich they were, these 2 Buddhas definitely have some age to them and the wood is almost petrified.
