This is a fine example of a silver sheath buddha. These older ones rarely survive as they are made from very thin sheets of silver which is wrapped around clay or a wooden figure of a Buddha and then gently beaten into shape and they often have little repairs done to them.

This mid 20th Buddha is extremely well casted with great detail and was made in the style of a 17th century design. It would be great displayed in any home or office!

This is an interesting folk piece and a one of a kind, one that I have never seen before. It is made from a thin sheet of brass which is wrapped around a clay figure in the shape of a buddha and then gently beaten into shape. It is normally made from silver but this piece is wrapped in brass. The brass buddha is unusual looking but it has great character and he is sitting on a high altar. A fabulous collectors item.
