This is a fine example of an early Lao Buddha. It has spent a fair amount of time underground and the bronze has a few different colours in it which makes it an interesting and unique piece.

This Buddha is an unusual one as it does not resemble the classic Lao styling of that era the Facial features resemble Sukhothai buddhas (Thailand) and was probably cast toward the end of the Sukhothai dynasty, Thai Buddhas throughout the ages has often influenced Lao buddha design. The buddha has had additional work of silver inlay to the base and to the necklace probably along time after casting which is rare and has traces of gold gilding. It has a leg and a section of base and part of his Ushnisha (flame) missing, but it still is a great piece and has been well mounted

This Buddha head has spent a long time underground. It has a nice Malachite green patina and still contains a lot of features considering the time spent buried and the photo doesn’t do it justice. This is a great piece of history and would be a great addition to any collection.

This a classic Laotian Buddha, simple design with a big nose and smiling funny face with traces of gold gilding. Some people say you should only buy Buddhas with nice faces but I disagree. I think it makes it a very individual piece. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

This is a very good looking early buddha fragment with nice spinach green patina but unfortunately his Ushnisha (flame or radiance) is missing but like so many of these early Buddhas it has spent along time buried beneath the soil. It is cast in the classic Lao style of that period with a big nose and cheeky grin and a out of proportion large left hand which is common for that time. This is a really great piece and would be a great addition to anyones collection.

A small old standing Buddha well mounted with traces of gold gilding the bronze has a lighter colour in appearance maybe due to a higher content of tin. It is in good condition but has a crack in the front of the neck.

This Buddha has a nice face. As you can see the altar has worn away over time however it is still very well mounted. And though the tip of Ushnisha (flame) is missing, this piece still shows off its beauty and has a green grey patina.
